We recently viewed the film Wendy and Lucy, an independent film directed by Kelly Reichardt, and thought we'd pass it along as a great idea for your next outdoor movie event. The film probably wouldn't work for family audiences (although it seems to be appropriate for all ages) because it wouldn't be entertaining enough for young children.

James and Bessie Jasinski launched the Mobile Film Ministry late last year, showing family-friendly Christian films to audiences at area Baptist churches. Last Friday, James brought his 12-foot outdoor screen to Meriden Hills Baptist Church to show "Flywheel," the tale of an unscrupulous car salesman who eventually finds Christianity and changes his ways.

In one segment he covers film licensing through Swank so that you can be sure that your church event is fully legal. In a second segment he offers some tips to make your open air projection brighter by using two projectors to project one single image.
