Newark, New Jersey: Outdoor Movies Under the Stars Return to Newark

Free outdoor movie screenings continue tonight in Essex County Ivy Hill Park with the showing of "The Great Debaters," staring Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker. Festivities begin at 7:30 p.m., followed by the movie at 8:30 p.m. The movie will be projected onto an inflatable screen. Audience members are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to sit on. The films are presented by Branch Brook Park Alliance in partnership with Essex County and Essex County Parks Department and sponsored by members of City of Newark Municipal Council.
