NYC is the place to be in the summer because there are so many great free events being offered. From concerts to movies to shopping, you'll never want to be indoors in the air conditioning. The only question remaining is, what to wear?
Outdoor Movies: Every summer, some of the city's best parks host free outdoor movie nights. Bring a picnic and a bottle of wine to settle in for the night. You don't want to give anyone a pek at the goods when you're sitting cross legged on the grass so try a pair of relaxed harem pants and a light top for a breezy summer look.
Lincoln Center Outdoor Concerts: There are lots and lots of free outdoor concerts in the summer months but Lincoln Center offers a truly diverse array of outdoor shows from swing to hip hop to Slavic soul (click here for schedules).
