Sydney Olympic Park has many fun activities for children and adults, from sports to outdoor movies. It touts its Monster Skatepark as "designed and built by riders, for riders". It features an indoor street course and outdoor vert and mini ramps, which is open to skateboaders, inline skaters and BMX riders of all levels, mountain cross facilities for BMXers and mountain bikers and a wicked downhill course that's claimed a few injuries but, hey, it's free.
Circus Arts Trapeze School has beginner lessons in a variety of aerial acrobatics, as well as juggling and unicycle riding.
There are plenty of free events at Sydney Olympic Park, too, such as Movies in the Overflow, a large outdoor cinema held in January and Music by Moonlight, an outdoor concert series held every Friday night in February.
