Traverse City, Michigan: Movies for Free Including Outdoor Flicks

The State Theatre has come a long way since it's grand opening in 1918, and they're going to continue their success under the wing of their President of the board of directors and award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore. Moore is also the co-founder of the Traverse City Film Festival, a non-profit, independent film promoting extravaganza. Last year there were 96,000 admissions and several world premiers at the festival.В
At dusk during the TCFF you can walk down a few blocks to the Open Space Park on the bay in Traverse City and watch classic movies on a monstrous inflatable movie screen free of charge. This year the 6th annual festival will take place from July 27th to August 1st. Jessica Laffin Read more.....
