The Princess Bride is based on the 1973 novel of the same name by William Goldman, and follows the adventures of Westley (Cary Elwes) as he journeys to raise enough money to marry his true love, Buttercup (Robin Wright), only to find himself kidnapped by the Dread Pirate Roberts.

When Buttercup believes Westley is dead after his confrontation with the pirate, she agrees to marry Prince Humperdinck — but is kidnapped just before the wedding. A disguised Westley courageously follows the kidnappers and rescues Buttercup, only to land the two of them in a succession of difficult situations that carry the story through adventurous twists and turns, keeping your entire community on the edge of their seats.
