The Breakfast Club, Now With Heaters and Emotional Support Cocoa
Detention is rarely improved by anything. Certainly not by fluorescent lighting, institutional chairs, and the faint smell of despair. But on January 26, Rooftop Cinema Club DTLA is doing what it can to fix the concept by relocating The Breakfast Club to a rooftop, adding fireside seating, chair-side heaters, and warm beverages—which is essentially the adult version of being told, “It’ll build character,” except this time it actually might.
This is part of the NEW! Fireside Films setup, meaning you get the kind of cozy arrangement that makes you feel you’ve made excellent life choices, even if you’re mostly there to watch five teenagers discover feelings while you clutch a hot drink like it’s a moral support animal.
What to expect
A special outdoor screening of the 1985 classic, complete with heaters, fireside vibes, and something warm to sip while the night air tries to remind you that roofs are, technically, outside.
