Sydney, Australia: Outdoor Movies at the University of Technology, Sydney

Outdoor Movies at the University of Technology in Sydney, AustraliaWelcome Spring with a picnic hamper and blanket, for outdoor movies under the stars, and right here at UTS. This Semester's double-feature at UTS Outdoor Cinema on Thursday 18 September is themed "Flights of Fancy". The feature films are: 'Flightplan' - a 2005 thriller film directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Jodie Foster, Peter Sarsgaard, Erika Christensen, and Sean Bean. 'The Aviator' - a 2004 American biographical drama film, directed by Martin Scorsese, and based largely on the book Howard Hughes: The Secret Life by Charles Higham. It tells the story of the eccentric aviation pioneer Howard Hughes, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, following his life from the late 1920s through the 1940s, a time when Hughes was directing and producing Hollywood movies as well as test-piloting his own groundbreaking new aircraft. The film also illustrates Hughes' descent into severe obsessive-compulsive disorder and reclusiveness. This is a FREE event presented by your UTS Union. Join us on Alumni Green next Thursday 18th September from 7pm.
