Sebring, Florida: 'Movies by Moonlight'- Free Outdoor Movies in Sebring, Florida

Outdoor Movies by Moonlight in Sebring, Florida

The Sebring Public Library and the Highlands Art League launched “Movies by Moonlight,” a free Saturday evening outdoor movie series at the Yellow House on Lakeview Drive, three blocks from The Circle. Classic and recent films screen on a 16-by-9-foot screen in the back yard, with the slope facing Lake Jackson providing a natural amphitheater. Short films and cartoons play at dusk; the feature begins at dark. Audiences bring blankets or lawn chairs.

The series runs twice monthly with potential to expand to every Saturday based on attendance. Equipment was funded by a $4,000 state Community Libraries grant and a $7,000 donation from the Sebring Friends of the Library. Film suggestions: call 402-6716 or email director@myhlc.org.
