Rome, Georgia: Outdoor Movies in the Meadow Enter a New Season
Oak Hill and The Martha Berry Museum will continue 'Movies on the Meadow,' a summer-long outdoor film series that offers a family-friendly atmosphere and the experience of viewing classic films in the shadow of Martha Berry's historic home. This summer's theme is 'Hollywood Rebels' and will feature films starring Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe and James Dean.
Movies will be screened the second Friday of every month, beginning with Jailhouse Rock on June 12. Some Like It Hot will follow July 10, and the series will conclude with Rebel Without a Cause on Aug. 14. Gates open at 8 p.m.; movies get under way at 9. Admission is $10 per car, and concessions will be provided. Please, no alcoholic beverages or pets. In the event of rain, Movies on the Meadow will be held at the Ford Auditorium located on Berry College's main campus.
