Provo, Utah: Outdoor Movies at the Bridal Veil Film Festival

Open Air Cinema, based in Utah but active worldwide, supported the Bridal Veil Film Festival -- a charity benefit for the Rwanda Cinema Centre held at the base of Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon. “Bridal Veil Falls is a beautiful, unused and forgotten-about monument,” said Open Air Cinema owner Stuart Farmer.

Open Air Cinema's equipment has been used at the L.A. and Tribeca Film Festivals and at Sundance's summer movies under the stars. The closing weekend of the 2008 festival screened: Wings of Desire (Germany, Sept. 25) • Wardance (Uganda, Sept. 26) • 2001: A Space Odyssey (Sept. 27) • City of God (Brazil, Sept. 28). All proceeds went to the Rwanda Cinema Centre.
