Portland Oregon: Multnomah Outdoor Cinema Presents Outdoor Movies in Portland, Oregon

Outdoor Movies in Multnomah, Oregon

The Multnomah Outdoor Cinema is a free, community-run film series held on the courts of the Multnomah Arts Center (7688 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland). The season runs four nights starting on the first Friday in June, with gates opening at 8:15 p.m. and films starting at dusk. The MOC Snack Shack serves a popular bottomless bag of popcorn and other sweet snacks at some of the lowest concession prices around.

That season opened with “Men in Black” and included “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and, in August, “The Princess Bride.” (Gabriel Park LARPers, take note.) Volunteers were welcome for one night or the full four-night run.

A joint initiative of the Multnomah Neighborhood Association and Southwest Neighborhoods, Inc., the MOC became grant-supported through the work of coordinator Jessica Wade — meaning it runs without financial risk to the community.
