Paris, France: Movie-goers Flock to the Parc de la Villette for an Outdoor Movie Series
Every summer, film fans converge on Paris's Parc de la Villette for nightly outdoor movie screenings. Built as an urban renewal project in one of the city's formerly underserved neighborhoods, the park's modern architecture and open lawns make it an ideal outdoor cinema setting.
Each year's programme takes on a theme. One recent season -- Ava, Rita, Gina… Les Stars et Leurs Pygmalions -- explored Hollywood's greatest stars and the directors who shaped their careers. Films screen in original language (“VO”) or dubbed in French.
