Last week we asked "How did cinema shape your year?" to the Open Air Cinema outdoor movies community. We received a number of responses, and among them, we heard from Robert Dunham of Songs of the Children from Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. I wish I could give you 3 hours instead of 30 sec. here. Instead, I will give you a short list of the joy you have provided to so many:
1. Christmas Eve Luau at Waikiki Diamond Head Beack Park. Movie: The Best Christmas Play Ever (The wind, 30 mph with gust up to 50 mph, was to stronge to set up the screen but we still had the projector and a sheet ;-) 2. However, we show movies to many homeless folks as well. These movies are inspirational and inspiring to all. They reach the heart and let folks that need, A Hand Up-Not A Hand Out, know that God and many folks, are watching over them.
