As we continue our efforts to bring outdoor cinema to the people of Haiti, we are preparing to expand our efforts to other cities beyond Port-au-Prince. Although we will continue to hold outdoor screenings in the nation's capitol, this coming week, we will start holding outdoor movies in Saint Marc, a coastal town about an hour north of Port-au-Prince.
In advance of our expansion, we are conducting training sessions for the Cinebox outdoor movie consoles with our Haitian employees. Although Open Air Cinema equipment is easy to set up and use, it is always good to know your equipment inside out, especially if you are producing an event for a large group of people. В We recommend that anyone producing an event with our Elite outdoor movie systems hold training sessions for their technicians on at least a yearly basis. В Training will ensure that your events will go as smoothly as possible, and will make sure that your equipment stays in top shape, so that you can use your outdoor movie system for years to come.
We recommend holding training for a few key areas. В Maintaining your inflatable movie screen is a top priority, as this is an essential part of your outdoor movie setup. The most important thing is keeping your projection surface clean, and to never put your screen away when it is damp or wet. В Sometimes you'll be forced to fold up your screen after a rainout, but make sure to immediately take your screen out of it's bag when you get to your storage facility or wherever you store your equipment. В Water is the biggest enemy to all of your outdoor movie system equipment, and when your white projection surface is put away when it is wet or damp, you can get staining, mold, or other markings that often times are permanent. В The best way to dry out your inflatable screen after it gets wet is to inflate it in the sun the next day. В This will ensure that your screen will dry completely, and will thus prevent any staining from water damage.
Of course, your audio visual equipment is also key to your outdoor movie production, and maintaining your projector, Cinebox console, and outdoor speakers will enable you to have successful professional screenings, and your equipment will last much longer. В We'll detail some other maintenance items soon on the blog, so keep coming back to learn about the essentials of keeping your equipment up to date.
We'll also be posting some images and updates about our upcoming screenings in Haiti. В Sponsor a screening in Haiti by donating to our efforts today! You can donate by contacting us at 866-802-8202, or by filling out our online contact form by clicking here.
