Outdoor Movie Wishlist - The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
by Michael Maltsev
Tonight at midnight The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be in theaters everywhere! Millions of Twilight fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time. We are excited to see the new film as well, but as outdoor movie enthusiasts we have to wait a bit longer until we can watch Eclipse under the stars! Before we tell you about why The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will make a great pick for your Fall outdoor movie festival, here is the official theatrical release trailer:
The third installment in the Twilight Saga film series, Eclipse continues to follow Bella (Kristen Stewart) as she is faced with increasing danger while in Seattle, Washington. The city of Seattle is ridden with a string of new murders, and Bella's lover Edward (Robert Pattinson) suspects that they are being committed by a new vampire who can't control their thirst for human blood. As Bella and Edward plan their futures, Bella expresses a desire to see her friend Jacob Black (a werewolf played by Taylor Lautner). As begins to visit Jacob with more frequency, she learns through Edward's friend that her hometown Fork has also begun to see an increase of murders, which is being led by the powerful vampire Victoria. Eclipse takes Twilight fans for a ride of action, adventure and love as Bella struggles in a world between mortals and super powers beyond her control, all the while determining if she loves Edward or Jacob.
Eclipse isn't a film for small children (the film is rated PG-13), but will be a huge hit for high school and college age audiences as an outdoor movie under the stars! Almost more than any other movie, you'll be guaranteed a large crowd if you screen this as an outdoor movie. You could also screen this as a trilogy within an outdoor movie film festival, and thus bring out your audience several times instead of just once! We've noticed the film is slated for licensing release through Swank Motion Pictures in the Fall of 2010, so stay tuned for more details on a specific release date and availability of the film.
We know there are millions of Twilight fans out there, so please let us know what you think of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse when you see it, by leaving your comments below. Share with the rest of the outdoor community why this would be a great pick for an outdoor movie screening!
