Outdoor Movie Tutorials: Cleaning/Caring For Your Open Air Elite Screen
Wondering how to clean and care for your inflatable screen? Good news — it’s not hard. Follow a few simple guidelines and you’ll get years of use out of your outdoor movie screen while keeping the surface at its best.
Outdoor Movie Screen Care
We recommend cleaning your screen after each use for the longest life and the sharpest, brightest picture. For everyday cleaning, spot-clean with water or a bleach-free cleaning wipe. Avoid bleach and harsh solvents, which can discolor the surface or lighten the black material around it.
Deeper Cleaning
Open Air Cinema’s projection surfaces are removable for cleaning. On our Home and Pro screens, the surface is machine-washable — use a gentle, delicate cycle with a mild, bleach-free, environmentally safe detergent, then air-dry it rather than putting it in a dryer. (For the heavy-duty Elite surface, follow your model’s care guide or contact us.) Always let the material dry completely before storage to avoid mildew. Whether you’re packing up or letting the screen dry, clear the ground of debris first, and lay the screen on a large blanket or black ground tarp to avoid scratches or stains.
Ensure Your System’s Longevity
Follow these simple, routine steps and you’ll enjoy your outdoor movie system for years to come. If you have any questions about caring for your screen, contact us — we’re always happy to help.
