Orangeburg, South Carolina: Outdoor Movies at Mirmow Continues Saturday
Movies at Mirmow, the City of Orangeburg Parks and Recreation Department's outdoor movie series, will continue Saturday, Sept. 26, at Mirmow Field.
This month's movie is "Hook," starring Robin Williams, Julia Roberts and Dustin Hoffman. Peter Pan (Williams) has grown up, married Wendy's granddaughter, and has become a cutthroat merger and acquisitions lawyer. Capt. Hook (Hoffman) kidnaps Peter Pan's children and takes them to Neverland. With the help of Tinkerbell (Roberts) and the Lost Boys, Peter returns to Neverland to battle Capt. Hook once again. This PG-rated movie was nominated for five Oscars and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
Gates will open at 7 p.m., and the movie will begin at dusk. Patrons will sit in the stands, and the 30-foot inflatable movie screen will be placed on the ball field. Admission is $2 per person, and drinks and snacks will be available at the concession stand for a nominal fee.
