Open Air Tutorials: Cleaning Your Outdoor Movie Screen

Open Air Cinema screens are durable and easy to clean. Here are tips to keep yours looking new:
- Always avoid packing your screen when wet — moisture causes mold and mildew. If you must pack it wet, open it to dry as soon as possible.
- The frame and projection surface are highly durable, but avoid harsh cleaners like bleach or ammonia. Mild detergents, dish soap, and environmentally friendly soaps work well for both surfaces.
- Water alone cleans surprisingly well. For stubborn spots, mix a small amount of soap with warm water and scrub with a cloth or soft brush.
- If soap is used, rinse thoroughly when finished.
- When possible, lay the screen on a hard, clean surface for cleaning. On grass, avoid stretching or puncturing the material — always remove shoes before walking on the screen.
- Allow the screen to dry completely before folding it up.
