McKinney, Texas: Fall Festival Includes An Outdoor Movie on an Inflatable Screen

October, 2008.  McKinney Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces celebrates another Texas fall season with fun activities, music, and food at the 10th Annual Family Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 25. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Wilson Creek Softball Complex.

Activities this year include an outdoor movie on an inflatable screen, pony rides, carnival games, music, and popular fair food staples.

“McKinney outgrew our old Family Fall Festival, which was held annually for the past nine years, because of its popularity,” said Trish Yanes, center supervisor of the McKinney Community Center. “This is a bigger and better event at a new location, with more activities for McKinney families to enjoy.”

While listening to music performed by Beatles tribute band Ticket 2 Ride, attendees can dine on classic fair favorites such as hot dogs, turkey legs, soft pretzels, funnel cakes, sausage on a stick, and more. Kids can take pony rides, experience different animals in the petting zoo, and play carnival games.

Pat Lobb Toyota of McKinney sponsors the inflatable outdoor movie screen showing of The Spiderwick Chronicles at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for the movie.

In addition to activities for the youngest McKinney residents, the Family Fall Festival also features attractions for older adolescents, including a mobile game theater, an outdoor laser tag station, and a bungee bull.

Admission for the whole family is $10. Visit www.mckinneytexas.org for more information.
