Macon, Georgia: Fitness Run Festivities Include An Outdoor Movie on an Inflatable Screen in Macon, Georgia

Outdoor Movies in Macon, GeorgiaBragg Jam Moonlight Miles is an annual fun-run held in Macon, Georgia to encourage fitness, raise money for local charities, and just get the community together for a fun event. It has grown in popularity through the years, and this year Bragg Jam organizers really wanted to make this an event to remember. So on Saturday, July 18, pre-race activities included music, games, and an outdoor movie on an inflatable screen. Outdoor Movie Screening in Macon, Georgia We want everyone to just get outside and have fun in downtown, Bragg Jam board member Jessica Walden said. That's why they added the open air cinema screening and other activities; lots of community members came down whether they were racing or not. Games and music began at 7:30, leading up to the fitness one-mile race which began at 8:30. The outdoor film, "Run Fatboy Run", was screened after the race. Community members brought blankets and the whole family to see this very appropriate comedy about a less-than-fit father who attempts to run a marathon in order to impress his estranged ex. Profits from the race went to local charities such as the Georgia Music Hall of Fame's M.I.K.E. program, the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail and the Cox Capitol Theatre. http://www.braggjam.org/moonlight-miles
