Lake Wales, Florida: Lake Wales Public Library to Show Free Outdoor Movies

On Friday evening, January 30, the Lake Wales Public Library hosted a free outdoor screening of The Princess Bride at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s south parking lot. Attendees were encouraged to bring blankets and folding chairs to enjoy the classic film under the stars.
The Princess Bride is rated PG — directed by Rob Reiner, starring some of Hollywood’s best. If you know who Inigo Montoya is, or what “Is this a Kissing Book?” means, you already know why this film has lasted.
The evening before, on Thursday January 29, the library presented the award-winning documentary The Power of Forgiveness at 6:30 p.m. in the Schoenoff meeting room — produced by South Carolina Educational Television and the Fetzer Institute to examine the impact forgiveness has on lives and communities. Screened as part of the library’s Love and Forgiveness Book Discussion Programme, both events were free and open to the public.
