The Phangan Film Festival grew out of a pure love for meaningful independent filmmaking. Additionally, we are world travelers who rejoice in the cross-cultural expansion that subtly transforms all those who wander far and wide, and we embrace film as a medium for this soul-level evolution.
2008 marks PFF's premiere events and we are delighted to celebrate with you by sharing this year's roster of inspiring and exquisite hand-selected films. We are committed to providing the local community as well as travelers to this beautiful tropical island with a diverse presentation of high-quality independent films from around the world.
PFF's inaugural themes of NATURE and SPIRITUALITY are two widely cherished subjects which bear increasing relevance for both our island and our planet at large.
We hope that this initiative will profoundly touch festival-goers and stimulate thoughtful reflection on our own ways of life. For the community, we wish to open the doors to positive action and ultimately contribute to the harmonious development of Koh Phangan for all of its inhabitants and visitors.
PFF also supports the efforts of Clean and Green Phangan, which sponsors beach and nature clean-ups and green space preservation on Koh Phangan island. This project will synchronize with Earth Day (22 April) activities worldwide.
