Guyra, Australia: Outdoor Movies to be Shown on a Giant Inflatable Movie Screen as Part of Australia Day Celebrations

Photo Credit: the Guyra Argus. Love the movies? Love being outdoors? Combine the two pleasures with three nights of outdoor cinema in Guyra. As part of Australia Day celebrations, Guyra Shire Council and the New England Credit Union have joined together and will be presenting outdoor movie evenings on January 24, 25 and 26. Residents are encouraged to come along to the Guyra recreation grounds, bring a chair or rug and be part of this great outdoor movie experience. Invite your family and friends to join you for some great family movies. On Saturday night the feel-good film ‘Mama Mia' will screen. This film has been one of the biggest box office successes of recent times with Meryl Streep being nominated for a Golden Globe for best lead actress in a musical/comedy. Sunday night the animated movie about surfing penguins, ‘Surf's Up', is sure to be a hit with both kids and adults. Monday January 26 will see everyone's favourite spy Maxwell Smart on the big screen in the ‘Get Smart' movie. Entry and parking will be free and now is the time to set one, or all, of these nights aside for what promises to be a memorable experience.
