Gainesville, Georgia: Outdoor Movies in the Park in Gainesville, Georgia
Southern Outdoor Cinema will bring an evening of outdoor movie family fun to Gainesville's Laurel Park on September 2, when it proudly presents the hit movie Ice Age 2: The Meltdown free to the public. The free outdoor movie will be shown on a giant inflatable movie screen.
Pre-movie entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. Abrakadoodle will be providing free arts and crafts activities for children. NoJoe's Clown Circus will also bring wholesome family entertainment to kids of all ages. His performance is free, but NoJoe does accept donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
At dusk, moviegoers can watch Manny, Sid and Diego adjust to their changing world in the last days of the Ice Age on Southern Outdoor Cinema's giant two story tall inflatable screen. The public can bring lawn chairs or lie on blankets under the stars and enjoy a picnic. Concessions will also be available at the park. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers are allowed to the outdoor movie screening.
Nothing is more relaxing than spending a warm night with family, friends and neighbors, says Paul Murray, Southern Outdoor Cinema owner and organizer of the Movies in the Park series throughout north Georgia. Our free films and fun give everyone a chance to forget the stresses of daily life for a while and enjoy their family and community.
Movies in the Park in Hall County are free to the public, thanks to the following local sponsors: Southern Outdoor Cinema, Hall County Parks and Leisure, Abrakadoodle, NoJoe's Clown Circus, and Taylor Construction.
