Fayettville, Arkansas: Summer Outdoor Movie Series Begins at Wilson Pool

Everyone into the pool, Friday marked the first night for the Dive-In Movie series at Wilson Park. Hundreds of families packed the pool to watch " Kung Fu Panda."It's the first of several shows scheduled for this summer.

The Fayetteville chapter of the International Association of Fire Fighters union gave $2,500 for the pool program. The city sets up a 25-foot inflatable movie screen on one end of the pool, while people sit in the shallow end and watch. The Dive-In movies are free to the public and begin at dusk.

Upcoming shows include " Journey to the Center of the Earth on July 10 and "Over the Hedge" on July 21. The pool opens at 7:30 p.m. and the first 150 people are given a raft to use for the night.
