Movies by moonlight is returning this March with another program of classic films. Join us for a unique outdoor movie experience as the helideck of HMAS Vampire is turned into the ultimate outdoor theatre.
Wednesday 4 March We Dive at Dawn (1943)
This classic World War II action/adventure propaganda film stars John Mills and Eric Portman. All leave is cancelled on British submarine Sea Tiger as the crew are ordered to find and destroy a Nazi battleship, the Brandenburg. Includes a pre-screening tour of submarine HMAS Onslow.
Thursday 5 March They're a Weird Mob (1966)
In this Australian comedy classic, Italian journalist Nino Culotta (Walter Chiari) arrives in Australia, become a builder's labourer, learn to drink and talk like an Aussie, and fall in love with an Australian girl. Described as one of the funniest films ever made n Australia, it features memorable scenes of 1960s Sydney and its working docks.
