Outdoor Movies at Helga's Film Festival in Australia

Helgäs Free European Film Festival toured Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne in November 2008, presenting three foreign-language titles on large outdoor screens. Brisbane and Sydney hosted screenings on inflatable 16×8-metre screens; Melbourne's screenings took place at the art-deco Astor Theatre in St Kilda. The programme: Italian Days and Clouds (dir. Silvio Soldini), German The Edge of Heaven, and French farce Welcome to the Sticks.

Brisbane screened November 6–8 at City Botanic Gardens (Soundshell Hill); Sydney followed November 13–15 at St Leonards Park, North Sydney; Melbourne ran November 20–22. All screenings were free. Attendees who registered in advance received a complimentary Helgäs sandwich pack on the night.
