Brisbane, Australia: Starlight Cinema Presents Outdoor Movies on an Inflatable Movie Screen in Brisbane, Australia

For three evenings in November, Brisbane's City Botanic Gardens hosted the Starlight Cinema on Soundshell Hill -- international European features projected on a 16×8-metre inflatable screen under the stars, free of charge. Audiences gathered on the lawn for films not shown in conventional cinemas.

The 2008 programme: Italian Days and Clouds (a marriage under the pressure of unemployment), German The Edge of Heaven (characters in Germany and Turkey grappling with life and death), and French farce Welcome to the Sticks. Blankets recommended; backrests available for hire. Refreshments on-site.
