Reimagine the final scene of Animal Farm by George Orwell—starting at the moment the pigs rise and begin to resemble humans—and take it somewhere new.
This festival showcases short films that treat the ending as an “interpretation engine”: change the last steps, and you reveal a different theory of power.
What to submit
A short film (5–10 minutes) that begins at the same fixed start point:
“The pigs stand up / become humanlike.”
From there, the ending is yours.
Any genre welcome: narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, comedy, horror, mock news, courtroom drama, musical—anything that lands.
Optional (recommended): include a 150–300 word “Ending Note” explaining what your ending is testing (power, memory, revolution, propaganda, class, etc.).
