Last night, Open Air Cinema sponsored the 2010 Showdown Fights: Respect MMA fighting event at the UCCA Center in Orem Utah! Open Air Cinema provided four 20' Elite surfaces and projectors, and suspended them from the ceiling as jumbo-tron screens during the fights. The Open Air logo was displayed prominently inside the octagon, and on the projected surfaces throughout the stadium.
The fight between Josh Burkman and Jordan Smith was the headline event, and thousands of MMA fans came out to see this historic fight. After 3 bloody rounds and a judges' decision, Burkman was declared victor, as he beat his undefeated opponent. Burkman is the proud owner of an Open Air Cinema 16' Home System, and through a sponsorship wears the OAC logo on his fighting shorts.
