The citizens of Santa Clarita Valley are in for a treat. Santa Clarita has invited their residents to an
outdoor movie series at William S. Hart Regional Park kicking off today, Friday the 28th of June, with an outdoor movie series to be shown on huge screen for free. It is always amazing to be constantly seeing communities gather together and support each other. Special thanks were acknowledged by the park Recreation Services, for the generous help given by the local assistance of the Friends of Hart Park for their work in organizing the outdoor movie series. Open Air Cinema have spent a long time in the industry, we know all the hard work, and many times the much needed and appreciated generosity of others. All of this planning and community involvement goes into putting an outdoor movie series together, everything from the organization down to setup and display. However the chance to see people getting together and enjoying, say like in the case of the Santa Clarita outdoor movie series, families gather around for events for all ages makes it all worth it. The experience of attending an outdoor movie series is as much about the friends and family that you attend with as the film. We can say, as outdoor movie series event producers ourselves, it is hard to beat seeing everything come together and having everyone enjoy themselves.
Outdoor Movie Series on a 40 Foot Screen
The films will be held twice a month through the month of August. This year Movies at the Park will offer animated features on a 24-by-40 foot inflatable screen. Guests are encouraged to bring picnic dinners, lawn chairs, and blankets; however concessions will also be for sale at Hart Park as well.
The
outdoor movie series starts with Madagascar 3 followed by four other G- and PG-rated animated films. Admission is free, and starts at 7 p.m. Friday with light entertainment featuring the Art of Hula and Tahitian dance classes before the movie begins at twilight.
