Topanga Days is a community celebration of summer in Topanga Canyon, California. This year’s activities will include food, music, and movies under the stars. The summer events are presented by the Topanga Community Club and proceeds from the various activities will go towards maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the Community Club. The Topanga Days is a great way to interact with the rest of this unique and creative community, and will be fun for residents and visitors alike. Visitors to the canyon can enjoy the beach and local hiking trails before taking advantage of boxed picnic dinners, musical guests, and a great outdoor movie.
The outdoor film screened on Aug. 16 will be Shrek, and on Sept. 13 it will be ET: Extra-Terrestrial. Admission to the movies is a suggested donation amount of $15 for adults ($10 for TCC members), $10 for teens and seniors ($7 for TCC members), and free for those 12 and under. Admission is free 20 minutes after movie starts. Parking is $5. Gates will open 5pm, with pre-show entertainment starting at 5:30, and the movie starting at sundown.
Two bands will play before each outdoor movie screening, and The Canyon Bistro is offering take-out boxed dinners to complete a real wonderful experience. Dinner, live music, and a movie under the stars, with coyotes howling in the distance -what could be better? Don’t miss this perfect opportunity to see one of your favorite movies in one of the most beautiful locations in the world.
