Kelowna, British Columbia: Outdoor Movie to Be Screened in Kelowna City Park, Canada

Kelowna City Park. As fires have ripped through the areas around Kelowna, British Columbia, hundreds of people have been displaced or temporarily evacuated. Needless to say, this has been a trying time for residents of the Kelowna area, and families are in great need of relaxation and a stress-relieving activity. That's why an outdoor movie event has been planned to take place tonight in Kelowna City Park. Tonight, gather friends and family and let the kids stay up late to enjoy this great community experience. Monsters vs. Aliens will be the film screened at the outdoor movie in the park, which was recently in theaters but has not yet been released on DVD. There will be a BBQ, concessions stand, kids games, prizes, and more. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs and stake out a spot early to enjoy the pre-show activities. The outdoor film will begin at sundown, approximately 9pm. The large outdoor screen is truly impressive, states event organizer, Jennifer Bryan. The public will really enjoy this unique event in Park, and it's summerlet the kids stay up late! (Kelowna.com) Donations will be collected to benefit the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs.
