This summer has held record-low temperatures in Tallmadge, Ohio. Tallmadge Parks and Recreation has experienced an attendance slump at the community pool due to cloudy skies and rain. The Maca Aquatic Center has been looking for creative ways to boost interest in the pool, which is why they are hosting a dive-in outdoor movie on an inflatable screen tonight.
A 13-foot by 16-foot inflatable screen from Audio Extremes will be set up after hours and season pass holders and those who buy a daily pass for Aug. 7 will have the opportunity to swim a little longer and watch "Finding Nemo" on a big screen at the pool. There will also be fun activities before the outdoor movie starts. This family-friendly event will be a unique community experience that is not to be missed. If it does rain, the dive-in event will be rescheduled for Aug. 14.
Despite the lack of daily pass sales lately, event organizers are expecting a big crowd for tonight's outdoor cinema show. As long as the weather holds out, families, friends, and neighbors will gather for a fun evening of swimming and cinema.
