Town Square Plaza
This August, the City of Kent is hosting free, family-friendly outdoor cinema at Town Square Plaza. Three downtown movies are to be shown at “Kent Summer Nights and the Silver Screen”, one of which has already past. Last week’s outdoor movie screening of Footloose was a big hit with the Kent community, as friends, families, and neighbors gathered to watch a movie under the stars. Don’t miss the remaining two movies to be screened this month!
This Friday, August 14, will screen the blockbuster hit Mamma Mia at 9:00pm. The following week, August 21, you can watch the outdoor film screening of Kung Fu Panda at 8:45pm. People will start gathering to stake their spot for the downtown movies about 45 minutes prior to showtime. Admission is free, so it should be a perfect night out with the family, although donations are gladly accepted to help keep the outdoor cinema running. Movie-goers should bring a blanket and low-back beach chairs.
