The eclectic event also includes gospel singing and wrestling (!). 5-9 p.m. on May 29. www.charmeck.org/Departments/Park+and+Rec/Facilities/Recreation+Centers/Albemarle.htm Free Movies at Regal Cinemas: Selected G and PG movies start at 10 a.m. each Tuesday and Wednesday June 16-Aug. 13 at the following theaters: Stonecrest Stadium 22 & IMAX, Starlight Stadium 14, and Arboretum Stadium. Matthews Summer Concert & Movie Series: Every Sunday through July 25, Stumptown Park (120 S. Trade St. in Matthews) hosts entertainment including live music beginning at 7 p.m.; the movie starts around 8:30 p.m. Vendors will sell food on site. No pets allowed. www.matthews fun.com Movies at McDowell: The McDowell Nature Center (15222 York Road) will screen a movie at 7 p.m. every Wednesday in June. All films are nature-themed and rated G or PG with the exception of June 24's adults-only screening. Child care will be provided for that showing for $3 per child. Register by calling 704-588-5224. Movies in the Park at Ballantyne: Enjoy movies with free popcorn and bottled water (plus face-painting for the kids) starting at dusk on June 19, July 17 and Aug. 21 at Ballantyne Corporate Park, 13860 Ballantyne Corporate Place. http://crosspoint521.org Movies Under the Stars: Ray's Splash Planet will offer games and movies on the lawn at 7 p.m. July 3 and Sept. 5. Rockin' and Reelin' Summer Concert and Movie Series: Pineville Lake Park (1000 Johnston Drive in Pineville) will host concerts and movies every other Friday, starting May 29 and running through September.
